Once the cause of your headache has been identified, the Physiotherapist will start migraine Physiotherapy treatment. This includes myofascial release (soft tissue therapy), targeted massage and gentle mobilisation of your facet joints in the upper back and neck. Usually dry needling is offered as an option as it is extremely effective at improving headache symptoms and migraines. Acupuncture based treatments are recommended but not entirely necessary to achieve great results.
Every Physiotherapy session will be followed up with exercises for you to continue the program at home for best results. They will be explained clearly and you will receive video examples with each progression.
