What is Dry Needling?

Dry needling is an effective form of treatment for all types of pain, including nerve related pain. Dry needling is a great treatment for sciatica, neck pain, back pain and headaches and a whole lot more.

Dry needling uses a very small acupuncture needle to stimulate local muscles to release tension. While dry needling uses an acupuncture needle, it is very different to traditional Chinese acupuncture, which focuses on meridians and energy flows. Dry needling focuses primarily on what the muscular and nervous system is doing. Dry needling is aligned with current western medicine principles and sports medicine.
